  1. Good stuff Bro Proverbs 22:6 ESV tells us to “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it” So that tells me that the parents should be the main teachers of the child, but I feel the Church plays an important role as well. Yes the parents should take their children to Church and set the example to follow Christ, but they must also ensure they are attending a Church that really loves Jesus and follows his teachings. But sadly a lot of Churches fall short and don’t hold true to the Word. In the book “Marks of the messenger” the Author talks about assuming the gospel (Chap 3) which basically means assuming everyone in the Church knows the gospel and a lot of times the message of the gospel is left “unspoken and implicit”. I feel the most import thing we can teach our children is the gospel.
The writer of the blog said “A cleaner, simpler lesson for her will be to just do the right thing. Do it because it’s right, not because you fear retribution or judgment” well she is sadly mistaken. I would say do it because this is what Jesus did for us. In Mark 16:16 Jesus said “Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned” Any teaching other than the gospel will guarantee your children an eternity separated from God.
